Landslide mapping using UAV based photogrammetry
Landslide at Balia nala, Nainital has an outlet of Nainital lake, flowing in southeast direction, which has been populated along its sloped surfaces. Mapping of the landslide and its surrounding areas has been carried out with quadcopter drone mounted with RGB camera. Approximately 12.8 acres of area is covered in four flight mission, acquiring 533 photographs with GSD of 2cm at an average flying height of 45m above ground surface. Along with this, 5 GCPs are collected using RTK GNSS receiver and photogrammetric processing was done to generated DSM and ortho image. DTM is extracted from DSM and contour maps of 1meter was generated.
