Joined Space Applications Center (ISRO), Ahmedabad in 2010 and initiated work with the Microwave Remote Sensing data. Involved deeply in both Active and Passive microwave remote sensing projects. First time initiated the Data Quality Evaluation and Monitoring architecture for the first space borne SAR satellite of India i.e. RISAT-1. Actively participated in the Calibration and Validation for Resource monitoring sensors satellite systems along with SAR sensors. In last 16+ years, expertise in Microwave remote sensing data viz ISRO’s MeghaTropiques, RISAT-1, Oceansat-2 Scatterometer, Scatsat-1 Scatterometer, Resourcesat-2, 2A, RISAT-2B Series, EOS-04, OS3 Scatterometer, C, L, S, P Band Airborne and Space borne SAR missions. In these missions, contributed significantly in the development of frameworks for quality evaluation of multilevel products of Microwave missions. Algorithms have improved the SCATSAT-1 processor resulting in Climate Quality Data for the users. In the year 2024, took responsibility for SAR data Calibration. The algorithms designed resulted into ISRO’s SAR high quality operational products.
Responsible as “Project Manager” for the Data quality of NISAR, RISAT-1A(EOS-04), OS3 Scatterometer. Team Leader for the X-band SAR RISAT-2B series and SCATSAT-1.
In 2025, moved into the domain of “Remote sensing Applications” specifically Marine applications. Contributed in cloud masking Algorithms in EOS-06 OCM3 data products for chlorophyll-a concentration retrieval and binned data product development. At present working for the Marine Pollution, Thermal and Microwave Remote Sensing of Ocean in IIRS Dehradun. Research interest includes exploration of Novel approaches, techniques, algorithms and develop models for thermal and Microwave data for Ocean applications.
