The Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) provides financial assistance under the RESPOND program to academic institutions in India for conducting research and development activities related to space science, space technology and space applications.The main objective of RESPOND program is to establish strong linkages with capacity building in academic institutions to carry out quality research and developmental projects of relevance and yield fruitful results to support ISRO programmes. The RESPOND program aims to enhance the academic base, create human resources and infrastructure in educational institutions to support the space programme.
